    Marianne Mader

    Marianne Mader hails from the east coast of Canada (Nova Scotia). She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Space Studies at the International Space University, France. She is completing the internship component of this program with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and is excited that this placement has allowed her to participate in the Haughton-Mars Project.

    Marianne has previous Arctic experience obtained during her BSc and MSc in geology. She completed two summer field seasons in Greenland and developed a new tectonic model for a 3 billion-year-old greenstone belt near Nuuk, the capital city. On Devon Island she will be assisting with geological field investigations with the CSA and is using a portable Raman spectrometer to help identify minerals of Mars analogue samples.
