Hans Utz Function: Rover Communications & Control Affiliation: NASA Ames Research Center Hans Utz is a staff scientist of the Research Institute of Advance Computer Science at NASA Ames Research. He joined the Intelligent Robotics Group at Ames Research in 2005. He received his PhD. in Robotics from University of Ulm, Germany. His research interest is on distributed robot software architectures and reactive control. In the k10-team he is responsible for the robot communications and command level control. At HMP he will make sure, that the data and commands are finding their way to and from the various subsystems and control stations of the rover, including wireless links with varying bandwidth and latency constraints. |
