Field Report

July 20, 2002 - Haughton Crater, Devon Island, Nunavut

On the 33rd anniversary of the first landing on the Moon by humans we had an extremely busy day of activities. Early this morning the first flight of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was completed succesfully before breakfast and just before lunch a second flight was succesful. This afternoon a group including limnologist Darlene Lim, geologist Gordon 'Oz' Osinki, Nesha Trenholm, Ginger Howell, and Keegan Boyd headed to Stanford Lake.

The NASA AMES MEX-HORSE team performed a live interaction this afternoon with NASA AMES's Future Flight Central in Mountain View, California.

This evening we had a flight come in from Resolute with five new people and more equipment.
