HMP Research Station Field Update

July 12, 2005 - Bad Weather Delays Flight to Devon Island

On Monday one flight was tentatively scheduled to leave Resolute Bay for Devon Island but bad weather caused a delay. The weather today looks suspect as well. This is not unusual and delays are always factored into every field season.

Should the weather improve a delegation from the HMP will also fly to the community of Grise Fiord at the southern end of Ellesmere Island for our yearly visit.
