HMP Research Station Field Update July 21, 2005
Today was a very productive day on several fronts. The DAME team spent a good part of the day at Trinity Lake conducting their first drilling session and report good progress. A progress update with photos will be available in a few days. The Arthur Clarke Mars Greenhouse team has nearly completed upgrades to the greenhouse and will have it running fully autonomously by the time they leave early next week. Also today the Canadian Space Agency Canadian Astronaut Office conducted the first in a series of telemedicine sessions and Dr.Jean-Marc Comtois offers a report on this activity. Other activities including a geology traverse led by Dr. Gordon Osinski with Dr. Richard Leveille both from the Canadian Space Agency. The MIT team also continues to make progress on their research project and we'll provide a full update tomorrow on their activities. And lastly today the first in a series of photo reports is now available. |
