David Brown Memorial - Brown Ridge - Space Shuttle Columbia Inukshuk Memorials

The Brown Ridge Inukshuk Memorial was named after astronaut David Brown. It was established in July, 2003, at the summit of a ridge marking the northwestern rim area of Haughton Crater. The ridge separates the NASA HMP Base Camp from the crater basin per se and is located 0.3 miles from base. The site offers a grand view of Haughton Crater and also of the vast plain of Von Braun Planitia stretching to the north.

The Brown Ridge Inukshuk was erected by Samson Simeonie (Resolute Bay) and Pascal Lee (NASA HMP PI).

Location: Devon Island 75° 25.6 N, 89° 50.5 W
